“I’m spending a few weeks in Ohio visiting family, and the past few weeks have just been full of quintessential summer things. Ice cream, baseball, corn on the cob, thunderstorms, evenings outside on the deck, and playing with my nieces who are on summer break. It’s such a refreshing change of pace, but it’s certainly an adjustment. I’m used to spending the days all by my lonesome, working on my projects in my pajamas while talking to myself. Now there are people around! Who want to DO things! All the time! It can be a bit overwhelming, so if you notice things are a little slow on the blog it’s because I’m babysitting the girls, went shopping with my mom, or met a friend for a girl’s night. Things that are impossible to say “No” to when they’re only around for a few weeks a year. You understand, right?”
*Oh Joy! for Target is on sale! RUN to your nearest store; I found the adorable tiffin on sale for about $10 at my local one in Ohio. Why didn’t I buy all 3 of them??
*I can’t believe I haven’t made these peach tarts with goat cheese and honey yet. What am I waiting for? I need to make them here, since I can’t find puff pastry OR yellow peaches in Tokyo.
*Can someone please turn this pineapple print into . . . everything? Napkins, an apron, a SHIRT, a picnic blanket, whatever. I’m in.

“There’s a war going on every Friday in my office: the battle between savory or sweet breakfast. This week, savory won with this glorious eggs benedict.
